A hair Dyer is located in the bathroom cabinet

The Radiators are set at a comfortable temperature but can be adjusted. 0 is off and 5 is hot. There are radiators in all rooms. The heating is controlled by the thermostat on the wall opposite the Fridge Freezer 18 is a comfortable setting. We would appreciate that is is not left unduly high for long periods. Being sensible allows us to keep rentals as low as we can.

Hot drinks can be made using the complimentary coffee, tea, milk and sugar located on the bench to the left of the sink. Milk is in the fridge.

Condiments, salt, pepper, brown and red sauces can be found right most wall unit in the kitchen.

The TV is a smart TV with all programmes streamed over Wifi. Use the remote to switch it on and select from the menus. If you have a Netflix account please feel free to use it. Full instructions of use are in the index under ‘T’

We have invested in high speed Wifi that will deliver good speeds for movie streaming and watching TV.

Outside has two sets of lights, one to the front facing the lake and one to the side above the outside table. These operate independently of each other. There are two switches. The front light switch is on the right as you enter the lodge, marked ‘front outside lights’ and the side light switch is behind the TV marked ‘side outside lights’. Please remember to switch them off after use.

The Outside Canopy when erected covers the entire side deck for your comfort. The instructions of use are shown in the index under ‘C’. Please do not use the canopy in high winds as it will jeopardise your safety.

A Baby Cot is stored in the wardrobe of the double bedroom and is there for your use. Instructions for use are in the index under ‘C’.

The Key Safe stores the front door key, and if you are reading this you have already familiarised yourself with it. May we ask that the key is returned and the combination dials are moved to hide the code. The cleaners use this key to gain access on your departure.

Outside plastic wine and tumbler glasses have been provided for your use when drinking outside, for your pleasure and safety. Please do not take glass glasses outside .

5 Kitchen

​Oven and hob are both gas fuelled from mains gas so there is no need for gas bottles to worry about. Operation is via electronic ignition and operation instructions are listed in the index under ‘H’ and ‘O’

​Fridge and Freezer is self explanatory. There is a welcome pack of milk for your convenience, Please remove or dispose of all opened containers or foodstuffs in the bin provided, when you depart.

​Health and Safety: Fire Blanket, Fire extinguisher and first aid kit are located in the boiler next to the front door. The cupboard is labelled to help you locate it in an emergency

​There is a bin located at the front door, If you fill this up and need to empty it, large commercial bins can be located near to reception or near to the entrance of Brickyards Lake. Bin liners can be found in the cupboard next to the entrance door for your convenience.

​The Dishwasher is located to the right of the sink. Dishwasher tables are located in the cupboard located below the sink. Full instructions for use are in the index under ‘D’.

​The Washer Dryer is located to the left of the sink. Washing tables are located in the cupboard located below the sink. Full instructions for use are in the index under ‘W’.

​The microwave is located on the right hand bench. Please be careful when handling hot foods or dishes. Oven gloves are provided. Full instructions for use are in the index under ‘M’.

​The Croc Pot is located in the cupboard below the sink. Full instructions for use are in the index under ‘C’ and ‘S’.

Cooking should not to be left or unattended.

We love our pets and want them to have a great time to. Water Lily Lodge is pet friendly but some guests do not arrive with pets and so we like to have a few rules so everyone can enjoy their time here.

Some rules for pets:

There are restricted areas and pets are not allowed in bedrooms or on beds

Keep clean the area where your dog eats and clean up any mess immediately

Pets are not allowed on furniture, not even on their own blanket which can be impregnated with pet-hair already.

Your pet should have its own sleeping basket / blanket / cage / cushion – and placed on the floor.

Pets not be left alone or unattended.

Guests are responsible for mess or damage that a pet creates.

Water Lily Lodge has a smart YV that streams all channels.

The TV is set to guest mode which means it will adopt your viewing subscriptions and favourites.

The shower is controlled and operated with a thermostatic mixer tap. The temperature is preset for your safety. All operation is with the left tap. Turn clockwise to increase heat and anti clockwise to reduce heat. If this is not hot enough press the red button on the right tap and turn the handle to increase temperature.

There are luxury shampoo, conditioner and body wash for your use located in the shower cubicle. Please ensure you are not allergic to the products. More information is located in the index under ‘S’

Brickyard Lakes is a secure environment. The code to access the site will be sent to you prior to arrival day

We operate a non-smoking policy throughout the building. This is also a condition of our insurance. Very occasionally we have guests who are not up to speed with the new smoking regulations. We would just like to take this opportunity to remind visitors who smoke that from the 1st July 2007 it is illegal to smoke inside a public, confined space. This includes bedrooms. At Water Lily Lodge We would also ask guests not to smoke in the grounds in case smoke drifts up into the rooms around.

If anyone smokes in a room, or damages a room, in such a way that it affects the next person coming into that room we reserve the right to charge for all costs associated with the guests’ behaviour.

We reserve the right to charge for resetting the fire alarm, relocating guests, cleaning rooms or any other costs associated with any guest who smokes anywhere in the building or grounds.
